Phone drills

Your drills and routines run on your phone at app.megamaster.io. It is a web app: there is nothing to download from an app store. Add it to your home screen once and it opens full screen from its own icon, like any other app.

Before you start

On the computer, open Settings › Account › Phone drills and turn on Send my drills to my phone. You need to be signed in with Google there. The phone signs in with the same Google account; your drills, routines and settings go up, and the reps you play on the phone come back into Train › History. Your imported hands never leave the computer. You need an active licence on the Google account you sign in with; the phone does not count as one of your two computers.

The same section shows when your drills were last sent and reps last fetched. Send now pushes your drills straight away and Fetch reps now pulls reps played on the phone into History.

iPhone and iPad

  1. Open app.megamaster.io in Safari.
  2. Tap the Share button (the square with an arrow pointing up). It is at the bottom of the screen on an iPhone and at the top on an iPad.
  3. Scroll down the share sheet and tap Add to Home Screen. If you can't see it, tap Edit Actions at the bottom of the list and add it.
  4. Leave the name as megamaster and tap Add.
  5. Open megamaster from the new icon and sign in with Google again. The home-screen app keeps its own sign-in, separate from Safari's, so being signed in in Safari doesn't carry over.

Chrome and other browsers on iOS 16.4 or later have Add to Home Screen in their share menu too, but Safari is the dependable route.

Android

  1. Open app.megamaster.io in Chrome.
  2. Tap the ⋮ menu at the top right.
  3. Tap Install app (on some phones it reads Add to home screen), then Install.
  4. Open megamaster from the new icon, or from the app drawer, and sign in with Google if it asks.

Samsung Internet works the same way: menu, then Add page to › Home screen.

What the phone app does

What it doesn't do: one table only, no hotkeys, no Arenas, and drills are made and edited on the computer, not the phone.

Rated phone reps count toward your rating and the leaderboards like desktop reps, when sharing is on. Practice reps still reach History but count toward nothing. Phone drills are graded by megamaster's engine, and the leaderboards show each player's share of those verified reps.

What goes to the phone

Only while Send my drills to my phone is on: your drill settings (spot, street, line, hands a day, your routine and its progress, and the sizing menus and grading settings a drill uses), the decisions you make on the phone on their way back to History, and notes written there. Those are hands the trainer dealt, not hands you played at a table. Results wait online only until your computer collects them, and for at most 30 days. Turning the switch off stops both directions.
